Howick, Westfall, McBryan & Kaplan, LLP is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the preeminent commercial law firms in Georgia. Founded in 2007 by a group of attorneys (including our four named partners) who had worked together at a prior firm, Howick, Westfall, McBryan & Kaplan, LLP has enjoyed an incredible amount of success in a marketplace that many other law firms are finding challenging. We attribute this success to our ability to assist clients using highly experienced attorneys charging moderate rates. We are committed to delivering quality, efficient and cost-effective legal services.

As a creditors’ rights boutique law firm, Howick, Westfall, McBryan & Kaplan, LLP serves as counsel for many national and regional, as well as state and local, organizations, including several well known Georgia banks and credit unions and numerous nationally known financial institutions and financial service providers.  Our partners have extensive experience representing lenders in all aspects of lending, including problem loans. Since the enactment of the Tax Reform Act in 1986, our attorneys have handled well in excess of 10,000 problem loans for some of the largest financial institutions in the country. Our services include the negotiation and documentation of forbearances, modifications and work-outs as well as creditor representation for bankruptcy, personal and real property foreclosure, deficiency balance actions and confirmation actions in all state and federal courts in Georgia. In addition, we have the experience necessary in handling receivership actions and other equitable relief to bring a quick resolution to your problem loans.

The firm consists of a large group of lawyers, paralegals, law clerks and legal assistants and is organized into distinct practice groups representing the three primary commercial law disciplines. The practice groups regularly work in teams to maximize the effectiveness of the firm's highly skilled attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their respective areas of expertise and serve as frequent lecturers in legal and other professional education programs.

Our firm provides the highest quality legal services to clients located throughout the United States. For more information, please visit Why Choose Us or contact our firm now.
